Important Dates

• Start Date to Apply Online: 01 December 2025
• Last Date to Submit Online Application Form: 31 December 2025 (23:00 hours)
• Last Date for Online Fee Payment: 01 January 2026 (23:00 hours)
• Window for Online Application Form Correction: 10 January 2026 to 13 January 2026 (23:00 hours)
• Tentative Schedule of Computer Based Examination: February – April, 2026

Pay Scale

• Pay Level – 3: ₹21,700/- to ₹69,100/- for all posts.

Vacancy Details (Force-wise)

Category-wise breakup (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) is provided in the official notification; vacancies are State/UT/area-wise for CAPFs & AR — domicile/PRC required as applicable.

Nationality/Citizenship

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Vacancies in CAPFs & Assam Rifles are state/UT/area-wise; candidates must submit domicile certificate/PRC where required.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years
• Candidates must have been born not before 02-01-2003 and not later than 01-01-2008.
• Age relaxation as per Government rules (OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, etc.).

Educational Qualification (as on 01-01-2026)

• Matriculation (10th Class) pass from a recognized Board/University as on or before 01-01-2026.

How to Apply

• Visit the official SSC website – ssc.gov.in.
• Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in). Note: OTR on the old website (ssc.nic.in) will not be functional for the new website.
• After generating OTR, fill the Online Application Form for this Examination.
• Use the ‘mySSC’ mobile application (available on Google Play Store) as an alternative to apply.
• Opting for Aadhaar Based Authentication is advised — this avoids rejection on account of photograph/signature issues and removes the need to carry original ID at exam venue in many cases.
• Follow instructions for real-time photo capture and signature upload as detailed in Annexure-III of the notification.
• Preview and submit the application; take a printout for future reference.

Application Fee

• Fee Payable: ₹100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only).
• Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from fee.
• Payment Mode: Online only (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay Debit Card).
• Fee Payment Deadline: 01.01.2026 (23:00 hours).

Centres of Examination

The exam centres are arranged under the nine Regional Offices of the Staff Selection Commission. Candidates must indicate their preferred exam centre(s) in the Online Application Form. The list of centres (with centre codes) and regions is provided in the official notification and includes major cities across all regions (Central, Eastern, Karnataka & Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, North Eastern, Northern, North Western, Southern, Western).

• Candidates must read the full official notification before applying online to understand eligibility, reservation, medical standards, physical requirements (if any), document requirements and other instructions.
