Project Details
- Project Name: Assessment of Floristic Diversity in the Alpine High Altitude Wetland Complexes of Sikkim
- Funding Agency: National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), MoEF&CC, Government of India
- Project Duration: 3 Years (Co-terminus with the project)
- Job Location: Gangtok, Sikkim (with extensive fieldwork in Alpine Himalayan regions)
Eligibility
- RA-III: Ph.D. in Plant Taxonomy with minimum 5 years experience working with Sikkim Alpine flora and at least 3 publications in SCI journals.
- Junior Project Fellow (JPF): M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Taxonomy or Ecology.
- Field Assistant: B.Sc. in Botany or Life Sciences.
Desirable Experience
- RA-III: Up to 10 years of field experience working with Flora of the Sikkim Himalaya.
- JPF: Experience in field data collection related to Plant Taxonomy or Ecology.
- Field Assistant: Knowledge of plant collection techniques, herbarium preparation, and fieldwork experience in the Himalayan region.
