Eligibility
Professor
- Medical qualification is included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. – Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in the respective discipline. – 14 years of teaching and/or research experience after MD/MS or equivalent.
- For super-specialty, 12 years of teaching and/or research experience after DM/MCh. Non-medical candidates (limited to Physiology) require a master’s degree and 14 years of experience after a doctorate.
Additional Professor
- Same qualifications as Professor, but with 10 years of teaching and/or research experience after MD/MS or equivalent. For super-specialty, 8 years of teaching and/or research experience after DM/MCh.
- Non-medical candidates (limited to Physiology) require a master’s degree and 10 years of experience after a doctorate.
Associate Professor
- Same qualifications as Professor, but with 6 years of teaching and/or research experience after MD/MS or equivalent. For super-specialty, 4 years of teaching and/or research experience after DM/MCh.
- Non-medical candidates (limited to Physiology) require a master’s degree and 6 years of experience after a doctorate.
Assistant Professor
- Same qualifications as Professor, but with 3 years of teaching and/or research experience after MD/MS or equivalent.
