Age Limit
- Maximum Age for Most Posts: 35 Years
- Maximum Age for Some Senior Planning Posts: 45 Years
- Age Relaxation: As per Gujarat Government Rules for SC / ST / OBC and other reserved categories.
- For existing SMC employees, upper age limit may not apply in some cadres as per notification.
Eligibility
- Qualification varies by post including 12th Pass, ITI, Diploma, Any Graduate, B.E./B.Tech, MBBS and other relevant degrees.
- Mechanical / Automobile Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Electrical Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Town Planning Officer / Planner: Degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering with PG in Town / City / Regional Planning.
- Food Safety Officer: Master’s Degree in relevant subjects or B.E./B.Tech in Food/Dairy/Biotechnology related disciplines.
- X-Ray Technician: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with X-Ray Technician Course.
- Basic Computer Knowledge and Gujarati/Hindi language proficiency required for most posts.
